getting close...

Noah is doing really well with his bottle. He is allowed to take it at every feeding now, and his food intake has also increased. Yesterday he had an eye exam to check his retinas (premies can have a problem with their retinas not attaching). He has another exam in two weeks to make sure that everything is still okay. He was not happy during the exam, and it wore him out too much to handle all of his bottles (he had a couple heart rate dips).

Rumor has it that he is going to move into a crib, instead of his isolette!!! This is what we have been waiting for, so I am hoping that this weekend he will be able to sleep in his crib, and remain in it. At times when babies are moved into cribs they don't handle it well, and end up having to go back into the isolette for a little longer. We are praying that when he does get his crib, that he continues to feed from the bottle, keep his temperature up, and does not drop his heart rate. I know that is a lot for the little man to handle, but he can do it. :) I plan on bringing more sleepers, hats, and socks to help him manage his temp, so he'll just have to manage the bottle, and his heart rates...I think he can do that.
:)
His one nurse told us that boys take longer to mature (which we all know-haha), and usually girls go home around 36 weeks, but boys may take up to 38 weeks...Noah is now 36 weeks, so we pray that in less than two weeks, we will have our little chunky man home (he is now 5.10).

....follow up.....no crib this weekend.
